Matt will be off-campus from November 30 through December 2nd. Should you need assistance after school, Richie will be available in the Reception area until 4:30 pm. Afterward, Laura Szalay will be on duty from 4:30 to 6:00 pm.
Message to Homeroom teachers:
Swimming ended last week. Students enrolled for swimming must head home at 3:30 pm unless they have a 4:30 pm hosted club or are waiting for their siblings to finish another activity (in which cases they should go to Brain Games).
Cricket is canceled this Friday, December 2nd due to Winter Wonderland. The makeup class will be held on Friday, December 9th. All other activities will run as planned on this day.
ASA Winter Season Sign-up:
Please remember that tomorrow is the deadline for signing up for hosting ES activities in the Winter season. For more info, please refer to last week's Mindset.
The PSA sponsored Winter Wonderland is this Friday, December 2. It begins at 2:00 pm. To support the event our PE and Drama Departments have been extremely flexible with their classroom space. We are very grateful for their support. Classes that are impacted were informed last week. All schedule changes are listed below.
Winter Wonderland opens at 2:00 pm for parents only. Teachers are requested to not take their students down to the event. Students may visit the event after hours if accompanied by a parent. Please do not release students after school on Friday unless they have been picked up by a parent. Please escort them to the buses or their after school activity if they are not picked up.
PE changes:
The PE lessons for 1L and 4B will be the only ones taking place in the Elementary gym on December 2. Both classes will have these lessons to Period 1 instead of period 2.
All other PE lessons scheduled on December 2 will take place at the regular time. It is the location that changes.
- MAL and KB will have PE in the Elementary Drama room.
- 1P, 3S, 2W, 4H, 3F, and 4L need escorting to the MS/HS gym and Auxi gym for their lessons.
- 5G will have their lesson on playground B and will need to dress for the outdoor weather.
Andy Ball has agreed to inform Middle School students that they will not have access to the gym at lunch time on December 2 until after 12:35 pm.
Again, we thank you all for your support and flexibility. The rearrangement of the schedule took up a lot of time and effort of many people. All possibilities were exhausted, and this is the best solution with the least possible impact on student learning.
