Please join me in congratulating Elif Comert, who has been offered and accepted a promotion from Assistant EAL Teacher in the Early childhood to EAL Teacher in the Early Childhood.
Elif joined AISB in 2016. Over the past five years, she has collaborated with the Multiage, Kindergarten, and EAL teams going beyond expectations of her role to support the English language development of our youngest learners. Congratulations, Elif!
Thank you
This has been a challenging year. You have worked to engage our students in quality learning experiences while grappling with your personal wellbeing and the wellbeing of our community, friends, and families. It has been an emotional, anxiety-filled roller coaster ride. I am grateful for your ongoing commitment to ensure learning continued in a safe and supportive environment, whether onsite, off-site, or hybrid. Thank you for continuing to be the most supportive, caring, professional team I have ever had the honour and privilege to work along side.
As we look to the summer, opportunities to re-engage with family, friends and the activities we have given up are re-emerging. I wish you all a safe and relaxing holiday that continues to see a rise in vaccines and a decrease in virus strains.
Stay safe, and be well.
