Please review Steve Leinwand's website, as well as the updated resources and organization of Erma Anderson's Livebinder (see sidebar- Teaching and Learning), in preparation for Steve Leinwand's visit on Oct. 26-29. Steve's strength lies in using these resources to create inquiry math lessons. During his visit, he will be modelling math inquiry lessons, facilitating reflection sessions, and working with us to further develop our assessments. Here is the link to Steve's Final schedule. The schedule is live and has been updated, so do review and plan accordingly. This link also includes coverage. Steve will be with us October 26, 27, 28, and on the Professional Development Day on the 29th.
Please join the PSA in celebrating Halloween this year at the AISB PSA Halloween Bash 2016 on Friday, October 28th, from 17:30 until 19:00. There will be trick-or-treating, ghoulish games and a haunted house available for your children to enjoy. AISB MS students will also be invited to attend a costume social. ES will also host supervision to support the ES Blazer Voices from 15:30-17:15. We will need many adult volunteers. If your children are old enough to trick-or-treat on their own or if you have no children currently living at home, the PSA would greatly appreciate it if you would consider volunteering in order to help make this year's Halloween festivities a success for everyone.
Please click on the links below to volunteer. Thanks so much for your help!
