Duty teachers please:
- review the duty zones for Playground A and Playground B. It is important to walk the boundaries and internal area of the zone throughout the duty. The track and field are closed when 2 people are on duty.
- use your bathroom and nurse passes during recess. Contact Barbara if you need a new set of passes.
- inform the classroom teacher if there is an incident during recess (behavior or injury).
- remind students that they need to check with a duty teacher before going to the bathroom or nurse.
- take a tour of the playground, and point out areas that are off-limits. They are highlighted in orange on the Playground B duty zone map. Playground A duty zone map will also be updated.

We are looking forward to starting our accreditation meeting process and learning together on Monday. The accreditation team lists are here, and the PD day schedule is here. If you did not sign up for a session, but decide on Monday you would like to attend, please go along and ask the facilitator if it is OK for you to join. Thank you again to all those who volunteered to run sessions - it promises to be a great day of growth for us all.
Professional Inquiry Cycle
The instructions for documenting your professional inquiry cycle process are here. This document includes links and instructions to help you create, rename, and link your homepage, and also how to complete and submit the survey. Nikki, Krista, and Nate will be available in the ES office during the PIC session on Monday for anyone who would like help.
MAP Assessments and Other Start of the Year Data
The Fall 2021 MAP testing window is now closed and all start of year benchmark data is in the data dashboard. Thank you to everyone for the considerable amount of time you have invested in learning about our students at this stage in the year. The instructional leads will schedule grade level data meetings with me for some time in the next few weeks to analyse the data collected and plan next steps for learning.
Kath Murdoch’s Visit - Postponed
Kath Murdoch’s visit has been postponed until the start of Semester two next academic year (late January 2023). This later date should enable a face-to-face rather than virtual visit (which is hard from her lock-down location in Australia). It will also mean our accreditation visit will be over, and we have time to plan how to use Kath’s time with us most effectively. Thank you for your understanding.
The Chocolate Bowl is Back!
Stop by and grab one (or two)! It is never too early for chocolate.
Are you still trying to formulate or refine your PIC question? The LFCs are here to help. Each of us will be in our classroom on Monday from 13:00-13:55. If you need additional help, please feel free to pop by one of our classrooms.
