Thank you for feeding our students' young minds, making their little hearts feel full, and creating a hunger for learning. We look forward to showing our appreciation this Friday May 4, 2018 at the Zavits' Home (Gyümölcs Utca 12, Nagykovacsi 2094). The festivities will begin at 4:30 PM.
Bussing options are available for those wishing to enjoy a drink or two. Further information about bussing services will be provided later this week.
For those who are driving or walking, see the maps below. If you drive, please note that there is no parking on our street. There are a few side streets before Forras Utca or up past Gyümölcs Utca that you can park on, and it will only be a 2-3 minute walk. Alternately, you can leave your car at school and walk (approximately 15-20 min) or take the bus, which will drop you back at school.

In Grade 5, our current unit of study is about making our community a better place. Currently, our group is researching Meatless Monday and looking for ways to make a positive, sustainable change related to this topic. We want to collect data from the ES students and teachers about their interest in participating in Meatless Monday. We would be grateful if you would please complete this survey and have your students also complete the survey by Friday, May 4th. Thank you, in advance, for helping us make a difference!

The Cult of Pedagogy podcast is a collection of episodes focused on teaching and learning. There is something for everyone. Author, Jennifer Gonzalez , interviews teachers, parents, students and administrators about hot topics in education (MA-Grade 12). Each episode provides the listener with practical ideas, tools, and resources to reinforce, support and extend teaching and learning. Each week I will highlight one or two of Jennifer's Podcasts or resources. I hope you will find time to explore them yourself. If you do and come across one you believe others in our community might enjoy, send it my way and I will add the link here.
This Week's Cult of Pedagogy Highlight: How Accurate are Your Grades? This 30 minute podcast is worth a listen as we head into assessment month. Although we do not use traditional grading systems anymore, the podcast also focuses on what we choose to assess and how might be impacting student learning.
Have an article, website, tool worth sharing? Send it to Krista and share it with your colleagues here.
