Thank you for opening your classrooms to your colleagues as we begin this part of the learning journey. Thank you as well for the feedback on the pilot form we are using to share feedback about the visit.
Please see the Class Placement Directions for further information about this step in the process. Team Leads are asked to pick up the class placement envelopes, encore and parent feedback, and new student information to support the next draft. The rotation is below. Please return class packets and class lists before leaving.
If you have further questions or need clarification, please see Krista.
The grade 5 students will do the Bridge Walk on June 14 (the day of the assembly) as we did last year. We cordially invite all Grade 1-5 classes, teachers (encore and core), assistants, and administration to the 2016-2017 Bridge Walk Ceremony that will “kick off” the end-of-year ES assembly scheduled for Wednesday, June 14.
The Bridge Walk Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 14th starting at 8:40 am. Below is a map outlining where classes should stand to cheer our fifth graders on. Classes are also invited to create and bring signs to hold up as our fifth graders pass by them. In these cases, we request classroom teachers and assistants to collect the signs from the students as they head into the theater, so they are not a distraction during the assembly.
We kindly request all classes are in positions by 8:40 am so we can begin the walk at 8:40 am. It would be greatly appreciated if encore teachers could help to ensure classes and parents are situated (according to the map) and ready for the Bridge Walk to begin at 8:40 am.
Fifth grade will walk past each of the classes and parents. Once they are by your class, you can join behind them. 4T and 4L, please give a meter or two of space between you and fifth grade. Grade 5 will be the first to enter the theater followed by 4T and 4L, then 4B and 4H, and so on, with parents entering last.
At the end of the assembly, Krista will invite grade 5 to leave the theater first. All other classes are requested to remain seated until she invites the rest of you to leave. Thank you, all, in advance, for your support!

The ES Fun Day is June 14th and the EC Fun Day is June 15th. These events are to celebrate the end of the year with an emphasis on participation, cooperation, team play and fun. Please remind your students to come to school appropriately dressed; shorts, a T-shirt, a hat, and sports shoes. Please remind them about sunscreen and a water bottle. We will have a few water stations, so it is also a good idea for students to wear a swimsuit under their clothes and pack a small towel. A cold, packed lunch will be provided. Please refer to the emails from Mike Wall (ES event) and Zsuzsi Horvath (EC event) for further details about rotations, stations, and student groups. Please be sure to print yourself a copy and review it before the day begins. If you have any questions, please see Mike or Zsuzsi H. Thank you, in advance, for your support and cooperation.
Please join us for our annual Faculty End-of-Year Breakfast scheduled to take place this Thursday, June 15 in the cafeteria beginning at 7:35 am. Bring your appetite.
Shawn will host a farewell luncheon for all leaving elementary students this Thursday, June 15th. Please see the email from Shawn for further details.
