Thank you, as always, for making our incoming/returning Blazers feel welcome.
Update on Hiring: Middle Leadership Positions
Middle Level Leaders are pivotal to the running of any successful school. They support the growth and development of faculty, parents, and students. When faculty take on a middle level leadership position, we ask them to remain in the position for two years to ensure sustainability. We then reopen the positions to allow other faculty the opportunity to take on a leadership position.
Please join me in thanking the following individuals who have dedicated additional time to support us on and offline in their middle leadership role. Thank you to our instructional leads Ange Guinness, Catlin Gaensler, Corinne Maurice, Ian Connell, Robb Wainwright, Bernadett Brazda, Julia Wollacott, and Piroska Nagy.
Thank you to our integration lead, Maribeth Relano and our learning forward coaches Alycia Corey, Karen Ramirez, Lauren White, Jen Gelinas, Kathy Cromartie, and Camille Johanssen.
Our Instructional Leads for 2022-2023 are Lucy Burghuis, Lindsay Page, Corinne Maurice, Zsofia Manner, Robb Wainwright, Pablo Ramirez/Bernadett Brazda, Julia Wollacott, and Piroska Nagy.
Two or our learning forward coaches, Camille Johanssen and Jennifer Gelinas, are moving on this year. We thank them for their enthusiasm, flexibility, and commitment to the implementation of these new roles. Alycia, Karen, Lauren, and Kathy will continue in the LFC role. Maribeth will join them in her Integration role along with Rex who is our incoming Learning Innovation Lead. This leaves two LFC positions open for the 2022-2023 school year.
Individuals interested in the positions can access the job description for the LFC positions here. Candidates applying are committing to two years in the position. Interested candidates are requested email Krista and Nikki on or before Friday, May 6th, 2022.
Diane is currently meeting with teachers who need AT placements for next year. We will announce the final placements of faculty once this is complete. Thank you for your patience.

EOTC
Are you planning an EOTC this year? Please send your completed forms to Diane as soon as possible.
Diane, Nikki, and Krista are in the process of reviewing PIC progress. If you have not already heard from one of them, they will connect with PIC groups and individuals before the faculty conversation on Tuesday.
Next week's Faculty Conversation (May 3rd) is our final fully dedicated Tuesday for independent/ collaborative PIC work. This time is for individuals to document their learning for this year within the PIC template (Question, Investigate, Apply, and Reflect). You may have chosen a personalised approach to documenting your learning (ie, Doc, Presentation, Video, etc.). If this is the case, these should be linked in the appropriate section of your PIC framework. If it is a continuous document, simply link it to all applicable sections. We will meet as a whole faculty on Tuesday, May 17th to share and celebrate our PIC learning. Many of you have asked does this date suggest I must be done my PIC. The answer is yes and no.
Our learning is ongoing. You are expected to have gone through the inquiry cycle at least once. As the cycle is dynamic, you have have gone through it more than once interweaving between each of the four areas. When you reflect on the impact your learning has had on your students, you may determine that you wish to continue the following year researching within the same area with a slightly modified question or approach. So the answer is yes, you will have completed the inquiry cycle and no as your reflection may indicate the need for continued inquiry into the 2022-2023 school year.
